General pump created the ultimate storage solution for pros tackling the tough stuff in pressure washing, agricultural spraying, and all sorts of facility work.
There's no getting around the fact that when dealing with a huge amount of high-pressure hose, the quality of your reel makes all the difference in your overall efficiency. This thing is built to handle up to 300 ft of 3/8" high-pressure hose, giving you an incredible working range without having to keep moving your pressure washer around - or worrying about kinking and tangling up your expensive gear.
And - unlike those single-arm designs - this one's chocked to the hilt with a rock-solid A-frame chassis that'll keep you stable even when reeling in a huge length of heavy, water-filled line. From massive commercial parking lots to fleet vehicles to municipal infrastructure - this reel is the heart of your operation.
Not only does it keep your precious hoses safe from damage, but it also streamlines the whole deployment and retrieval process. It's 5000 PSI max operating pressure makes it good to go with even the biggest commercial pumps out there, which is basically a must-have for any contractor who demands the best.
Product Benefits/Features
Investing in a heavy-duty reel like the General Pump 300ft A-Frame fundamentally changes the way you do business on the job site. One of the biggest headaches in commercial cleaning has got to be managing long lengths of hose - loose hose is not only a safety nightmare, but it also shortens your equipment's lifespan.
By putting 300 ft of hose on one drum, this reel lets you park your rig in a central spot and reach out to far-flung areas - like the other side of a warehouse or the top of a building - without wasting a single minute repositioning. The A-frame design was chosen for its sheer structural integrity. It's the only design that really does the job of absorbing the torque and vibration that happens every time you're rewinding.
This makes for a smoother operation all round, and less wear and tear on the gear. The 1/2" plumbing on the reel reduces friction loss right where it counts - through the swivel - letting your pump deliver its cleaning power right where you need it, even over huge runs.

Key Features and Specifications
The tech specs on this General Pump hose reel tell you this thing is built for the heavy-duty stuff. The real heart of the system is the heavy-duty swivel, rated for 5000 PSI and with 1/2" Female Pipe Thread connections on the inlet and the outlet - a real must-have for pros running big pumps (5 GPM and above). The 1/2" internal geometry reduces turbulence, making this thing run smoother than a lot of its competitors.
The drum's substantial enough to hold up to 300 ft of 3/8" hose, and there's still enough room to change up your hose configuration depending on the outer diameter of the line you use. To protect the hose jacket from cuts and snags, the drum's got rolled edges all round. The manual crank handle is solidly welded to the axle, so you won't be straining your back trying to wind in long lengths of hose. The reel also features a friction brake assembly that lets you adjust the drag on the spool to prevent it spinning too fast and creating a bird's nest during transport.

Installation and Reliability
Setting up the General Pump 5000 PSI A-Frame hose reel is key to making sure it keeps on trucking for a long time. You need to bolt it down to a solid surface - a trailer deck, truck bed or good old concrete floor will do the trick. Because that thing is heavy, specifically when its water-filled (which can easily top 100 pounds) - and the 300 feet of hose care weighing you down - you want to make sure you use some Grade 8 bolts & one or two big backing plates.
This will prevent the reel from coming loose when you're on the move or giving it a hard wind. Plumbing it in requires hooking up a high-pressure jumper hose from your pump to the 1/2" FPT inlet swivel, and for that youll want to use some high quality thread sealant or PTFE tape so it stays leak-free even at 5000 PSI. Now, the outlet on the inner drum is also 1/2" FPT - so if youre using standard 3/8" pressure washing hose, youll probably need to fit a 1/2" male to 3/8" female reducer bushing to get your hose line attached.
General Pump know a thing or two about building their products to last, and this reel is as tough as nails. The only moving part under high pressure is the swivel, and thats been designed so you can do a quick maintenance job if a leak develops. Seal kits are pretty easy to get hold of, and can be installed in no time. The A-frame has a coating on it to stop it getting all rusted up, but you still want to keep it clean now and then to keep it in top nick.
The drum bearings run smoothly as can be, but an occasional shot of grease (if your reel has zerks) or a bit of spray lubricant will keep it all ticking over nice & smoothly. With proper care & mounting, you can expect this reel to outlast a few hoses on you, giving you the reliability you need to tackle the really big jobs without a hitch.
