This Inconel cone spring is a replacement part for PA chemical injectors. Inside the injector, the spring holds the check valve (ball or poppet) against its seat, so chemical can be drawn into the water stream while water is kept from flowing back up the chemical line. When the spring weakens, corrodes, or breaks, the check valve can’t seal properly, which typically shows up as poor or no chemical draw, inconsistent mixing, or water backing up into the chemical container.
The spring is made from Inconel, a nickel-chromium alloy known for its resistance to corrosion, heat, and harsh chemicals. That makes it well suited to life inside an injector, where it’s constantly exposed to detergents, degreasers, acids, and other cleaning solutions that can quickly degrade ordinary steel springs.
